5 Frequently Asked Questions about VIA

Over our (nearly) 20 years in business, we’ve found our potential clients have many of the same questions. Many of which you won’t find many other agencies discussing in public. But then again, we’re different.

1. Why should I choose you?

We value partnership above everything else. We aren’t a vendor here to do your bidding, and we aren’t a design firm that knows your business better than you do. We can do a lot, but if you already do something we do, we’re OK with that.

We have long-standing partnerships with big and small brands alike.

Bottom line, if you are looking for a straight client-vendor relationship or a one-project-stand we might not be for you. If you are looking for an awesome partnership, you’ve come to the right place.

2. Do you all do SEO / responsive websites?

Yes, definitely, but you won’t see a line-item for either. We do both of these things for any site we develop because both of these things are fundamentally important for any modern website.

Instead of “SEO” or “responsive” – how about asking us about other soon-to-be hot buzzwords like “UX”, material design or semantic differentials?

3. How much is this going to cost / how long is this going to take?

Time to get real, so buckle up.

It’s not fair to lump all projects together, but we do have a very flexible process that can accommodate a wide range of projects and timelines.

As with many agencies, we do have a minimum cost of engagement – and if we are too rich for your blood, we have a solid list of other vendors we can refer you to.

In our experience a full redesign and development of a new site can be anywhere from 3 to 6 months*.

4. What is my involvement going to be?

We prefer to regroup with each of our active clients weekly to get work done, demo(nstrate) the work we’ve completed, and most importantly get your feedback.

Sound overwhelming? It’s not, especially compared to the headache of not seeing progress and being disappointed once you do. Once you get into our flow, you have the opportunity to affect the work we do on a week-by-week basis.

It can be demanding, in our experience we know that it always makes the work better.

5. Is this an art studio?

No. We are a full-service digital marketing and branding agency.

But kind of yes, and for two reasons:

Our fearless leader, Jason Clark, does enjoy pop/street art and has a number of pieces from renowned artists (such as FAILE, Shepard Fairey, Takashi Murakami, KAWS) on our walls.

We also like the idea of not being bound by “digital”, and like the idea of our space as studio for any great idea. As an example, we built a float for Best of Louisville.

6. BONUS: Is it VEE-ah or VAYE-uh?

It’s VIA.
